Rishabh Pant Hospitalized in Dehradun

On Friday morning (30/12/2022), prominent Indian cricketer and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant have involved in a car accident. A car crash occurred on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway. 

Pant has reportedly has taken to the Max Hospital in Dehradun after suffering a bad injury. Pant was traveling to Roorkee from Delhi. But when his Mercedes moved toward Narsan Town, the automobile violently toppled, shattering the pillars and railings.

Pant’s car met with an accident between Manglaur and Narsan in the Haridwar district.

According to the 25-year-old Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, he lost control of the vehicle because he dozed asleep behind the wheel, said Uttarakhand Director General of Police Ashok Kumar.

Rishabh Pant was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the accident, and he shattered the car window to get out.


Rishabh Pants’ Car Accident Eyewitnesses

As per eyewitnesses of the accident, Rishabh’s car bumped into the railing, after which the car caught fire. However, the fire has been brought under control with great effort. 

Pant, who has seriously injured in the car accident, was then admitted to Roorkee, Hardwar, Uttarakhand’s Civil Hospital for primary treatment.


He has later shifted to Max Hospital Dehradun.

The young wicketkeeper-batter of the Indian cricket team has been now under treatment in AIMS hospital at Rishikesh, according to the most recent reports. He has been injured badly and has wounds to his forehead and leg.

Former Indian team opener batsman Virender Sehwag soon confirmed the news and wished the Delhi Capitals captain (IPL team) a speedy recovery of the wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant.


Rishabh Pant Car Accident – What Went Wrong?

An accident caused Pant's car to flip violently and overturn uncontrollably. His car then caught fire; villagers and police had also arrived at the scene. The fire department received the information.

Vehicles from the fire department arrived at the division and tried to bring the fire under control.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister (CM) of Uttarakhand, has given the go-ahead for all necessary arrangements to be made for the treatment of injured cricketer wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant. He's also asked for an air ambulance to be available, according to Chief Medical Officer (CMO.)


Who wished him a speedy recovery?

VVS Laxman said, “Praying for Rishabh Pant, thankfully he is out of danger. Wishing you a very speedy recovery and get well soon.”

DDCA Secretary Siddharth Sahib Singh said, “We are all concerned, but thankfully he is stable; we are keeping a tab on his treatment and wish him a speedy recovery.”

Pant was recently involved in the Test series in Bangladesh; he played a significant role in the 2-0 series win. BCCI recently announced squads for the home series against Sri Lanka; Pant was absent from the ODI and T20I squads.

Pant has recorded 2271 runs in 33 test matches with five centuries and eleven fifties (50s.) He has represented 30 ODIs and 66 T20Is in his cricket career.
